Results of Note
AZGolf Women's Season Opener: We had two teams from SWGA compete in the tournament this weekend at Robson Ranch. This was a partners tournament with a Shamble on Saturday and Best Ball on Sunday. Bambi and Deanna ended up winning 2nd Place Net in the 2nd flight of the "Field Tournament" and won 2 Skins each day (one Net and one Gross).
Carol and Cheryl won both a net and gross skin today but did not place in the tournament. They did have the lowest net score in their flight today but that wasn't enough to place. To see full results, click here.
AZGolf State Medallion: This two-day tournament was held at Oakwood Country Club in Sun Lakes on January 11 and 12, 2025. Our SWGA team of Bambi Douma and Carol Pierce placed second in Flight 6 with a score of 164. The team score is the total of the gross winner's gross score (Bambi, 83) and the net winner's net score (Carol, 81). First place in that flight was The Views team with a 162. The lowest score of the day was 160 in Flight 5. Congratulations to Bambi and Carol who each won a $75 gift card for Van's and represented SWGA very well.

Shot Her Age
Arizona Golf Association is now recognizing when a player shoots her age. We haven't been keeping track of this achievement, but will start! As a placeholder...does it count if it's a scramble? This group shot a 62, which is lower than one or two of our ages...just monkeying around.
